This sleek stallion has a knock-out pedigree: an own son of the great Paddys Irish Whiskey, a leading sire for all walks of the reining and cowhorse world.  He is a grandson of the leading broodmare sire and Quarter Horses’ only Triple Crown winner, Special Effort.  His Dam, Best Performance has sired such greats as Goodnight Two Moons who won $100,000 for Speed Williams and his partner Marty Beck in the 2011 Wildfire Open to the World.  Chris Cox won the 2011 Road to the Horse Championship aboard Perfect Performance (Sixes Pick) her 2008 gelding.  ‘Whiskey’s ‘ pedigree has accumulations of millions of dollars in earnings including Peppy San Badger, Doc Bar, Poco Tivio, Lightning Bar, Special Effort, Raise your Glass, Mr San Peppy and Tanquery Gin.  We purchased this stallion as a weanling from Frenchman Quarter Horses and his trainer has notated that 'Whiskey' is very trainable and has shown incredible speed with his quick learning.  Levi Grimes successfully showed him in the reining cow horse, cutting and Versatility Ranch Horse qualifying for the AQHA World Show.  Cami Bauer Bussmus trained and shown him his Futurity and Derby years in barrels. Accomplishments as a 5 year old were: the Top 20 of the 1D at the Classic Equine Futurity and the Blue Bonnet Futurities, placing in the 1D in the Fresh Start Futurity, 5 States Breeders & Barrel Futurity and the Dash & Dance Futurity. Under the jockey of Becca Gilley as a 6 year old, he ran consistent 1D and 2D times at the Fizz Bomb and Roper Rally.

Paddy’s Irish Whiskey-Purchased for $560,000 and was then syndicated for over a million dollars.  Hi is a full brother to Grays Starlight, Badgers Starlight, Bunnys Starlight and Gallo Del Cielo.  He placed 3rd in the 1996 NCHA Amateur Classic/Challenge, finalist in the 1996 Augusta 5/6 year old Non-Pro Classic, the 1995 Steamboat Springs 4 year old Open and semi finalist in the 1995 NCHA Open Derby.  AQHA Reserve World Champion sire, Congress Reserve Champion Sire and NCHA Super Stakes Non-Pro Classic Top 5 finalist sire with performers in cutting, reining, reined cowhorse, roping and versatility ranch competitions. Lifetime earnings $12, 149, Offspring earnings $1,591,993 and 5,011 AQHA Points, 36 AQHA/Reserve World Champions.
 

Peppy San Badger-NCHA earnings $172,711.  The 1977 NCHA Futurity Winner, 1978 NCHA Derby Winner, 1980 Reserve World Champion and winning the Open Division in the 1981 NCHA finals, NCHA Hall of Fame. Until just recently, Peppy San Badger was the all time leading sire of NCHA competition cutting horses.  His offspring has won in excess of $20,000,000. (Double Bred both top and bottom) Inducted in the AQHA Hall of Fame 2008.

Doc’s Starlight-NCHA Open Reserve World Champion 1977 and 1978, 5th place in the 1978 World Show, Superior Performance Cutting 1978, NCHA earnings $134,442/60 AQHA Points.  With only 8 registered foals offspring earnings are $207,957. NCHA Hall of Fame

Special Effort-Earner of $1,291,950.  SI 104.  Purchased for $1 million dollars as a yearling after winning his second start.  As a 2 year old he became the first horse to win the Triple Crown for 2 year old horses.  Named World Champion in 1981.  In 14 outs, Special Effort went to the winner’s circle in 13 with earnings of $1,219,948.  He was retired as a 3 year old.  The #10 All-Time Leading Sire of Money-Earners, Equi-Stat #4 All-Time Leading Paternal Grandsire of Barrel Horses. 2008 AQHA Hall of Fame.
